  Had an issue with the life guard at the big pool. The life guard (Aiden W) who wasn’t even on duty was incredibly rude and screamed at my kids for splashing and swimming near the ropes. I attempted to speak to Aiden and he totally ignored me. He proceeds to reprimand my kids and talk to them as if he was the parent. Scolding them and putting them in timeout. Your not the parent you have no right to place a child in timeout. I asked him to talk to me instead of screaming (literally) at the kids and he started talking back to me and scolding me seriously! He began to yell at all the kids in the pool telling them to put the pool toys away. When I asked him if they could play with the toys he said no and I asked him why and he said because I don’t have time for you. This guy shouldn’t be in charge of aquatic activities especially with little kids. If you don’t have patience and have skills to work with kids you shouldn’t be in that position. One positive thing is that the management on duty was an awesome guy very understanding. He spoke to me and reassured me that this would never happened again. YMCA you need to look into this matter because there was another parent at the pool who stated that she had reported the same incidents in the past with Aiden. She said it’s an issue with a lot of families and upper management does nothing to reprimand this employee.

  I am utterly dissatisfied with the service at this YMCA location. Employees are rude and do not cater to the needs of customers. Whoever works at the front desk now continues to lock the gate to the school field, prohibiting student athletes from entering the fields after school. This is not only rude, but incredibly dangerous as many athletes are being forced to jump said fence in order to get to practice in a timely manner.
