  I've known Stephanie Barrus since we were kids in school. I reached out to her a few years ago when I was looking for a new rental and she had exactly what I needed available for me within days. I lived in her property for two years but unfortunately my family outgrew that home and Stephanie didn't have anything bigger at the time. Hind sight, I wish I would have stayed there regardless of the needed space as I didn't realize how great I had it with her as my landlord. Any repair that I called her with, her Handyman Gary would be there within a days time to fix it, if not the same day. If there was something I needed her to look at, and she wasn't able to come by right away, she would send her husband Danny to help with whatever it was. Danny's an old friend from school too, besides it being ridiculously cute that they're now married, they definitely make a great real estate team! Stephanie's phone is always ringing with the line of work she's in, however she has a way of making you feel like your her top priority and only client. She was always friendly no matter how many times I would call her with issues. I will always remember when we were meeting to sign my lease in the beginning, her phone rang and with one of her property owners. She tried to answer it quickly to tell him she would call him back when she was through with her current appointment, he didn't let her get those words out though. I could unfortunately hear the man on the other end of the line screaming at her about the expense of a new ac system that she explained she didn't have a choice but to replace it, as she can not leave her tenants without ac or she would be obligated (personally obligated, not legally, as I asked her that when she got off the call) to let the tenants out of their lease without penalties and would put them into another property of hers, leaving him with no tenants as well as a non working ac system that would still need to be replaced. She said it much nicer to that man yelling at her though, but she clearly and firmly got her point across, it was this conversation I was present to hear that left me with no doubt she would definitely take care of the property and me as her tenant! When she got off the call, I made a comment about how calm she was with someone yelling at her like that. She smiled and said not to worry about her, she has the ability to block out the negativity and she's just happy that she is the buffer between her owners and tenants, as she would rather let someone vent their frustrations on her who is used to it, which allows her to professionally take care of her tenants and properties. I just reached out to her today as I'm having problems regarding my current lease and needed some answers. Not only did she take the time to speak with me when I'm no longer a tenant but was able to answer all my questions and give great advice on where I stand legally! This is what prompted me to write this review. There are so many great things to say about her, that I felt I should be writing them here as well! Granted we were old friends, however I'm positive she treats everyone as she treated me. I'm hoping to be in the market to buy a house soon and will be looking forward to working with Stephanie again! If I happen to continue in the rental market for now, the next lease I sign will definitely be with her, regardless if I like the house or not! That's what a great landlord she was!
